Our Toddler On A Sunday

Geb and Auntie Fritzie right after church service

Darn.  That haircut looks odd.  Stop chopping off that baby's hair no matter how unruly it can get-- note to self.

Fellow Mamas, how do you handle ultra active toddlers during Sunday mass?  We never had quite a problem before, although, of course we are very aware Geb's natural toddler energy would hit soon.

Like, today.

He shrieks, sings with the choir (which is cute!) and asks all four of us (me, Brian, Fritzie and Michael) for a carry, one after the other.  An average of about two minutes each.  Imagine.  We're like factory workers standing in an assembly line.  We hand Geb over to the next and back.  Add to that, he moves up and down the pew as he please and settles down on the floor when something interests him.  Brian is quick to pick him up or bring him out the door when things get unmanageable.  I'm hoping we can handle him better in the coming weeks.  We do bring with us small-sized books and toys to keep him entertained.  Some snacks too.

Look at him now.  All grown.  A little man, in essence.
